Your donation directly supports our clients and enriches their lives

We Care Arts believes in the healing power of creating and producing art that transforms physical, developmental and emotional challenges into a life full of possibilities. Since 1983 we have served the Dayton region, currently serving more than 1000 individuals per year. We enrich the lives of people recovering from strokes, serious injuries, struggling with depression or other mental health complications as well as those born with developmental disabilities such as Downs Syndrome or those on the Autism Spectrum. We are guided by our belief in the healing power of art. Creating art compliments medical therapies, increases self-confidence, and ultimately improves quality of life.

COVID-19 UPDATE

As We Care Arts navigates this unprecedented reality, our number one priority remains with the well being of our clients. Although our community looks different right now, We Care is finding new ways to stay connected with clients. We are currently operating on a hybrid format with limited in person classes and our Virtual ArtWORKS programming.

  • We have developed online programming, Virtual ArtWORKS, where clients can take ZOOM classes taught by two different instructors. Classes are offered Monday - Thursday and art kits can be picked up every two weeks with art materials for two different classes. This allows our clients to socialize from the comfort of their homes and engage in new artistic skills and encourage creativity.
  • We have an online gallery on our website which features our client artist’s work they have made while at home. We are encouraging participation by posting work on social media and tagging it #WCAathome.
